  • Elearning

    On synchronous elearning days, students will have google meets at 10 and 1.  Cameras need to be on and students need to be in a school shirt.


    On asynchronous elearning days, students do not have google meets scheduled and instead work on assignments at their own pace for the day.


    Assignments are due 3 school days after the elearning day.

CLEARANCES

Required for all Adult Volunteers working with children


At St. Joseph School and Preschool, we believe that family volunteers are an integral part of the school community. Each family is asked to volunteer at school-sponsored activities.


Volunteers are required to obtain the proper Diocesan-mandated clearances. Clearances are tracked through the School Office.


Listed below are the qualifying volunteer opportunities.


Room Mothers, Playground Monitor, HASA Board Member, Classroom Helper, Lunch with students, Field Trip Chaperone, Volunteer Coordinator,  Cafeteria Helper, School Board Member, Book Fair, Grandparent's Day, Thanksgiving Lunch, Christmas Program, HASA Programs, Mother/Son Night, Father/Daughter Dance, Glow Party, Movie Nights, Catholic Schools Week, May Crowning, and Merchant Bingo. Other activities may be added throughout the year.

Steps to complete the process to be cleared as a volunteer:

  • Step 1: Volunteer Application

    All volunteers  must complete the volunteer application to begin the process. Please submit along with a copy of your drivers license to office@stjosephgarrett.org

  • Step 2: Background Check

    Once your volunteer application and drivers license are received in the school office (email or hard copy) you will receive an email FROM: BARADA and directions to complete the background check from the office through Smore (our email communicationplatform for parents).

  • Step 3: On-Line Training

    Once your volunteer application and drivers license are received in the school office (email or hard copy) you will be sent an email from the school office through Smore (our email communication platform for parent information) with directions on how to access and complete the required online training videos (good for 2 years) through CMG.
